I agree about 2019. I’ve even argued for a more conservative approach and as someone pointed on reddit Rust 2020 may be the catchiest name compared to “dull” 2018/2019 and will provide enough development and testing time for new important features (futures, const generics, use and pub/crate changes, etc.), which will make edition release significantly more noticeable.
