stdext::function_name seems to work consistently in tests. It would be really nice if rust provided such a macro (or "macro") that worked in every circumstance, but that seems stalled. If projects can be expected to use their own test attribute it could be edited to stuff that in a thread local, although a recursively propagated tokio "local" seems like it would require modification to the library.
