Crates.io will be performing database maintenance on Friday, August 2nd at 19:00 UTC. During this time, we will be placing the application in read only mode. We expect the maintenance to last a few minutes.
During this time, most of the application (including crate downloads) will still be functional. cargo build will continue to work during this time. The following functions will be unavailable:
cargo publishcargo yank- Management of crate ownership, including accepting pending invitations
- User registration
- Creation or revocation of API keys
In addition, some data will become stale during this time:
- Crate downloads will not be counted
- The “last used at” field of API keys will not be updated
Finally, some users may be unable to log in through the web UI if they are not already logged in, and crates published immediately before the downtime begins may not see the index updated until after the downtime is complete.
We will do our best to minimize disruption from this maintenance, and we appreciate your understanding.
