I learned assembler programming on my first computer, a Z80-equipped ZX Spectrum, in the early 80’s. Since then, I’ve done both low-level and high-level development on PIC, 8051, 6800, C167, ARM and Intel-based platforms using assembler, C, C++, Java and python, all depending on purpose of the task. As a senior embedded software and firmware designer, most professional assignments have been related to realtime and/or distributed systems, and recently I have been involved in IoT invarious assignments. Assignments have varied from advanced system design in complex systems and state-of-the-art investigations to programming-from-scratch or bug-fixing.
