Hello folks!

After reading news about Rust 1.0 Alpha a few folks in Russian IT-community [habrahabr.ru](http://habrahabr.ru) decided to start translating Rust documentation. I was talking to @steveklabnik, and it turns out there is no tools/platforms to start translation. Let’s discuss it. Which tools we will use to support i18n? What should be done to start first translations?

There was _some_ support in tree for a while but it bitrotted quickly. I think in the near term it’s going to take some major volunteer effort to lead the way.

We might be able to help minimize the impact of bitrot by having the nightlies publish the translated docs once they materialize again.
