Indeed. An example issue with unsizing coercion was just recently discussed here.
I'd say any implicit coercion is a potential source of very nasty bugs, and there should be very, very strong reasons to include it. Like, massive ergonomic wins all over the code. Not just a slight simplification in a few places where the types were sloppy to begin with.
